Our Sheets made from Tantalum have a high melting point and can be formed into extremely thin protective oxide layers on high-quality capacitors.Tantalum Plate (Ta) is a dark blue-gray metal that is very heavy, ductile and hard and has high corrosion resistance. Tantalum Sheet is especially resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 150 °C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluouric acid.
All tantalum sheet and tantalum plate (UNS R05200, UNS R05400), Ta2.5W sheet and Ta2.5W plate (UNS R05252), Ta10W sheet and Ta10W plate (UNS R05255), Ta-40Nb sheet and Ta40Nb plate (UNS R05240) follow ASTM B708.All tantalum sheet is not the same.
